Personal Heath Insurance On.
Hi folks,
Has anyone got any advice on where to look for personal health insurance (mainly prescription coverage) for someone with pre-existing health issue and prescription requirements in Ontario? No work coverage yet and need some prescriptions filled...

Or one of the other companies in the wiki - though you might have issues getting cover for a pre-existing condition... you could also try one way insurance for the interim period before OHIP starts (3 months).

If you go to a walk in clinic they would be able to give you a prescription and Costco tend to be the cheapest for filling them (you don't need membership for filling prescriptions)

Pre existing conditions are usually not covered on a personal private plan, if they are the premiums are likely to exceed the cost of medications. Employer group plans usually cover pre existing.
