Application for Citizenship
Hi there,
I'm applying for canadian citizenship by birth to a canadian parent from the UK. I am content enough to send my UK driving licence away with my application, but I was wondering is it OK to send a certified copy of my british passport along with it, and if so who can certify it, can police do it?
Cheers

Re: Application for Citizenship
I don't know which instructions you're following but I made my application using forms from London CHC, and it says on their page - http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/canada-...after77-en.asp :-
Applicants over the age of 18 need to provide two pieces of signature ID. We accept photocopies of passports, driving licences, bank cards, National Insurance cards and student identification.
The only originals I sent were my grandfather's UK birth certificate, and my father's Canadian one - and even those were "duplicate" originals I'd ordered for the purpose.
