Re: Advice on Adjusting in Canada in year 1
Hi
well i moved in BC with pregnant wife, 2 yo kid and a teenager, a prefect storm would say. But you see, altough is difficult move in a new country and the challenges are there, there is one thing you need to do, and is move on with the acceptance that is a different country. we all compare, but it does not help to settle. Am Italian, lived in germany, Uk, USA, and all the time i just embraced whatever was in there, sometimes looking for something that remind me my roots, but never looking for my roots in a new place, it would not make sense then move away from home.
Said that, is not easy and understand the frustration. One thing is try to attend the local communty events, try to socialize with locals, it helps.
