Hi all, Despite having a lot to do before the move to Van in Jan, I am worrying about where I will be able to watch the 6 nations games in Metro area. I know the 8 hr time difference could be the killer to watching the games live but does anyone know any good places to see the revitalised England team win?

Last year anyway, the 6N was only on pay per view (not even regular cable). I think most people just used a proxy to watch it on BBC. I don't know of any places downtown that showed it, but I didn't really investigate either.

Worth speaking with the local rugby club. Ours shows it live(we aren't in Vancouver so can't help you specifically!)

Not sure on BC rules around drinking but no beer is included, will be even worse with you because of the time change. In Calgary first games start around 630 - 7 so you get a breakfast and unlimited coffee, bar opens at 10 I think.

In BC its 11 o'clock I believe. Plus the Manchester pub is an awful place, staffed by knob-heads who serve rubbish beer with a bad attitude. You'd be better off streaming it to your tv.

Manchester Pub and The Pint are two separate places I believe, atleast the address is different on FB.

They are, and both are those formulaic sports/pub style places. One is on West B'way and the other is in the smelly part of downtown/Gastown.
