Re: 2009 LandRover Defender 110
You have the info in the above posts that unless the vehicle is 15 years or older you are screwed - 'no way jose'
-so-
Maybe, just maybe - import it to the US, get it registered in the US, then import it to Canada

It's 25 years for the US.
I suppose, maybe, or are you are trying to sell it to someone in Canada?

Re: 2009 LandRover Defender 110
Perhaps it's just as well importing your Defender is a no, no. Depending where you end up in Canada, finding a mechanic who is familiar with Land Rover diesels etc, might be very tricky. In addition, spares for your Defender would tend to be expensive and have to be imported. I had a diesel Land Rover Discovery in the UK, and looked at the gas version here in Canada....I went with a Toyota truck instead, a decision I have never regretted.

Toyota Land Cruiser way better all round, include serviceability as well as less costly than a Defender 110
Me thinks the OP is trying to flog the Defender to someone in Canada.

I've never owned a Land Rover but the Land Cruiser was a staggeringly expensive device to use on the road. If the Land Rover truly costs more to run than that I'd suggest one may as well go all out and get one of the less impressive Ferraris.
