Moved to northants when I was 12 though,:thumbsup and hovered around a little further south from there for 15 years, spent the last 6 years in cheshire before moving to canberra OH is southerner.........

define where you come from. where you were brought up or where you are leaving /left england from or the area you spent most of your life in?
i have never been able to answer that question.
brought up in north hertfordshire
but live in sheffield and have done for the past 9 years and where we are hopefully leaving from.

Didn't know what to click to be honest. I was born in Cheshire, schooled in Hertfordshire, worked in London and then 15 years in the South West - combine that with years abroad in the United States, France and Australia and, well, who knows. If it was where did you emigrate from ... then the South West, if it was where were you raised ... then the South East. If I had to return to the UK for some reason then I'd go back to the South West - so I'll stick with that.

Cheltenham - which is a confused town - it doesnt know if its SW or midlands. Ive voted SW though.
