The Trumpmare is happening... Who will win?

Re: The Trumpmare is happening... Who will win?
Generally, only conservatives can be patriots. With socialists, their other agendas and beliefs always come first
Hope this helps

Re: The Trumpmare is happening... Who will win?
A classic comment of Trump's is that his proof that he is not a racist is that a coloured person won one edition of The Apprentice.
“Well, you know, when it comes to racism and racists, I am the least racist person there is. And I think most people that know me would tell you that. I am the least racist, I’ve had great relationships,” Trump said. “In fact, Randall Pinkett won, on the as you know, on ‘The Apprentice’ a little while ago, a couple of years ago. And Randall’s been outstanding in every way. So I mean, I am the least racist person.”

If Trump said 'Dude, you're lazy'- not racist
If Trump said 'Dude, you're a lazy black loser'- racist
A non-story (in a sea of many non-stories)

Daily Mail, right wing, it must be a correct and trusted source.

And as far as lazy is concerned, Trump's been in the job for a month, and already he's spent 25% of his time away from work, golfing at least six times, and has spent in a month on travel roughly what Obama did in a year.

No, very little of what you say helps me. As I said, extremism in all it's forms is a dangerous thing. You don't know what left wing or socialist means because I'm neither but I will concede that on the political spectrum you have to look a long way left to find liberal thinkers.

Part of why I chose it (wouldn't touch it with a barge pole generally).

Just because people don't agree with you doesn't make them wrong nor does it make them 'hate their country'. Change the record for heavens sake, it's tedious, wrong and makes you look foolish.

Re: The Trumpmare is happening... Who will win?
That is such a bullshit thing to say and my god say it you do, ad nauseam week in week out. It still doesn't make it real. The majority of people aren't conservative or socialist. They don't call themselves those names, they don't believe all of one side or another. Most people hold quite a wide centrist position.
Just because people don't agree with you doesn't make them wrong nor does it make them 'hate their country'. Change the record for heavens sake, it's tedious, wrong and makes you look foolish.

This is the type of 'patriot' I think of that this poster is saying is the only true lover of country.

You don't remember the 'it's just locker room talk' and the women who came forward to accuse Trump of molestation etc (liars, every one of them?)
“Our great African-American president hasn’t exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore.”
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending the best. They’re not sending you, they’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists… And some, I assume, are good people,”
“I have a great relationship with the blacks. I’ve always had a great relationship with the blacks.”
“Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys wearing yarmulkes… Those are the only kind of people I want counting my money. Nobody else…Besides that, I tell you something else. I think that’s guy’s lazy. And it’s probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in blacks,” (1989)
“They don’t look like Indians to me and they don’t look like Indians to Indians,” Trump said about his Native American casino competitors during a 1993 Congressional committee hearing on casinos operated and owned by Native American tribes.
“He’s a Mexican. We’re building a wall between here and Mexico. The answer is, he is giving us very unfair rulings – rulings that people can’t even believe,” Trump said about Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who oversaw a class action lawsuit against Trump University. Curiel is a U.S. citizen who was born in Indiana.
“A well-educated black has a tremendous advantage over a well-educated white in terms of the job market. . . . If I were starting off today, I would love to be a well-educated black, because I believe they do have an actual advantage,” Trump said in a 1989 interview with Bryant Gumbel.

Back in the 1980's I worked for a company with government contracts in the states, it was without a doubt beneficial to be a well-educated black in the selection process as the company had to show its affirmative action plan and results to the government. If someone commented on the obvious, does that make them racist ? Perhaps the person should qualify such statements by stating "in general" or ",my experience".
Or your quote about the Indian casino operators- having lived in the West it always amazed me how many Indian leaders didnt exactly look too Indian, and I have seen many people trying to get qualified as Indian to get some of the government benefits they receive.
Sure he is insensitive for the current PC climate, he generalizes right left and center, and says anything that he thinks makes himself look better or gets more votes. is he an out and out racist, to me before making such a judgement I would want to know what one's definition is.
I will say hearing his comments and actions in regards to women, and especially some excerpts from the Stern radio show, I certainly wouldn't be inviting him to my house with my wife or daughter present. But there are a lot of men who talk in a similar manger amongst themselves. kind of hard to imagine with the type of wording of many rap songs that those criticizing Trump are doing so for what he said instead of his ideology.

I get impression Trunp would make comments about any group if it suited his mood. My impression is he basically puts the world into three categories : Himself, people who like him or beholden to him, and everyone else.

Re: The Trumpmare is happening... Who will win?
Oh I definitely think he's racist. His comments on Mexicans etc. gave that one away without a shadow. However it pales in comparison with his narcissism, which is his defining character failing. He positions every group in a pecking order, with himself at the pinnacle. Those on the lower tiers (mexicans included) are servants or criminals. He respects what he considers 'strong men', but only so far as he considers them peers. Most are dictators.
Given his obvious disconnect from reality, I'm not sure if he would be able to consider an individual mexican to be of a higher level than the whole group, since I think he would substitute his own perceptions of the world for reality (which we know he does). That makes him what I would call a 'real racist' - he can't look past the group he considers them part of.
That's obviously true of women.

You are making stuff up. You are labelling to suit your agenda. How about you keep real and stick with the reality part. A disconnection from reality is more down the line. Sexism and racism is not.

Re: The Trumpmare is happening... Who will win?
You take one part out of an argument as to why he's racist and try to pick it apart?
As I said, if you'd read, in general people adjust their view of the world in light of the evidence. As far as racism is concerned, that means if they meet an intelligent, articulate, black person - they are likely to think that person "a good bloke" and probably adjust their perception of the stereotype as a whole:
they are all barbaric scum > some of them are OK > there are a few bad eggs
However, as has been shown, Trump has a tenuous grasp on reality. Even when his own words demonstrate he's talking cr*p, he still holds to his view - particularly when he compares himself to them (narcissism). That means he's less likely to do the above, and indeed the evidence seems to bear this out. He's pushed into selecting a black man for the winner of his 'reality' show, but doesn't want to and tries to negotiate out of it.
That's the behaviour of the real racist - they truly cannot see past their preconceptions of a group.
And relative to this, have you noticed how he doesn't tend to compare himself to the likes of Bill Gates, or Warren Buffet? Vastly more successful businessmen, who are using that money to give back. It's like he blanks out their existence, since he measures his success by money, and he's a loser in his own eye, relative to them.

You are not forming a good enough argument here. Perhaps you should stick to your opinions where you can form a good argument.
Sexism and racism is a fail.
