Train or car hire from manchester to North East
Anyone got any advice on which may be the best / most comfortable / cheapest way to get from manchester airport to the north east after a flight from Oz.

I think there's a direct train service to Newcastle. I've driven from London to the NE direct from Oz and wouldn't recommend it.
