Default Sold a UK property since 2004?

I expect this is old news to most of you (certainly if still in the UK), but being out of the country for a few years now I'd missed the fact that the judgments about unfair UK bank fees included mortgage exit fees being overcharged.

I figure there may be one or two out there who this may also still apply to.

I redeemed a mortgage in 2005, so I wrote to my old building soc, following the advice above and just had a letter to say they'd pay me 225 pounds. I did find my old mortgage number, but otherwise had no records - they worked it all out for me.

Worth doing!

Now I just need to try to find my old credit card statements...
