Silly little question

Re: Silly little question
It really pissed me off, so it was good to write about it and give him another (virtual) kick I'd much rather spend the time developing keen staff than waste days and days ploughing through 'the process' to get rid of a stinker.

"Gotten the arse" / "Getting the arse"
Possibly a Melbourne/Victorian only colloquialism.
As for getting rid of workers.... Thats another protection mechanism of the awards system. Problem is you either lean too far one way or T'other with these systems it seems. So currently we have the 1 informal warning, 1 official verbal warning, 2 written warnings and an inquiry.. All with a time limit before the process starts again. unless it's theft etc. If a company gets the above wrong, they will quite likely be sued by the worker.
I know of places where they've hired people who have murdered or manslaughtered someone before, but they wont go near someone with a theft record.
