In theory, that means a minimum 15 year sentence. In theory.

Currently the judge is once again trying to excuse him, same as the original attempt that got knocked back, using dodgy reasoning.

Verdict is 6 years

This might well go to appeal again, she's done a poor job yet again.
Indeed, she has.

Only 6 years!!!

Why did they use the same judge when she made such a pigs ear of it the last time?

The sad part of OJ (aside from his murderous part) was that he was one of those rare athletes that had the charisma to match the athletic fame, movies, commercials etc... all lead to the slow speed chase then trial. I still remember vividly some portions of the US population cheering his not guilty verdict even though they knew he was.

And now apparently a South African Olympic Committee executive has said Pistorius could run in the 2020 games because he'll have paid his debt to society and everything will be lovely. The Australian committee drop sportsmen if they get a drunk driving conviction. Just madness

Like the juror who admitted during the interview that she decided she was going to vote not guilty because it was "payback" for Rodney King. I honestly don't know how anyone could look at the evidence and not see he was guilty. He was very fortunate to be able to afford the legal team he had. Cochran and Bailey were no surprise with the tactics they used but I have to admit to being disappointed in Barry Scheck who I believe sold out by agreeing to defend Simpson.

As for the athletic abilities and charisma, I remember what a great football player he was. And I can certainly see the charming side that used to be there.

What Oscar really would want is sponsors, I imagine that even Colt and Ruger would shy away from him.

Juries nearly always convict since a state prosecutor will not bring a case to trial unless he/she has a 95% chance of winning. No accounting for the occasional free radical juror.

As expected, the ridiculous sentence the judge gave is going to be appealed
