We deliberately didn't accept an invitation last night because we are going to a party today. It's going to be a big one!
I think having parties on New Year's Day is great.

It's tradition in our house to walk around like a zombie on NYD, perhaps vomit a bit, recite the family motto, can't be arsed to cook let's get a takeaway

Doing the zombie bit, but mainly because I slept very little last night due to being unwell and hot/cold flushes. Run out of lemsip now. OH has gone back to bed- still recovering from the germs he so kindly gave to me.

I'd love to even have the opportunity to turn down a party invite, but sadly I'm Billy-no-mates it would seem.

Thats what we're doing. I behaved not too bad last night and spent most of day in bed today, to really party tonight, lol!

My fam are still here, as are the inlaws so have been busy. Having indian takeaway and champers this evening (break from cooking).

Really? I can't believe that C. There's no compelling reason to count the New Year in with anyone, I reckon.

I would have been tempted to go last night but others were tired.
