I wasn't born til 74 so no point asking me - although there is a place called Wyndham Arcade there.
How long since you have been to Cardiff? I have some pictures of the Bay I took last Sat - it has changed loads in the last 5 years or so....
Town has changed loads too - it is hard to differentiate where the bay starts and town finishes as town has spilt past the railway bridge behind central station...

2004 was the last time I was in cardiff, yes I did notice butetown had changed quite a bit. the city has changed a lot since I left the uk in 82. even the cardiff empire pool has gone. That place had electric mangles to dry your swimmers, bloody dangerous for kids. Would be illegal these days.
I used to love diving off the top boards when I was a kid into the diving pool - I would struggle to even make it to the top now
Strange how you learn fear as you grow older isn't it?????I bet you Cardiff will have changed loads by the next time you visit too....
When I was a kid Butetown used to be a really dodgy area, where the prositutes and drug dealers hung out and was to be avoided at all costs, now the flats and houses down the bay are worth £millions...
Really nice place to go with the kids for the day out though, loads to do.....
