Hi everyone

Is there a Perth Pool guy north of river you can recommend? My pool is turning green by the hour 😩

I know of a good one in Adelaide.

(just being noble here, at least one person in each of your 'recommendations wanted' threads finds themselves getting yelled at, so I thought I'd take one for the team)

You're welcome

I thought this was a community forum where expats can have a chat and help each other out.

It is. Can't you manage it yourself? Either get a test kit and then fix whatever levels are wrong or take a sample to your nearest pool shop. If you don't trust them take another sample to different shops and if they all say the same you know what you need to fix it. It's very straightforward.

Says up top that the pump has died.

Which sounds like a case of paying through the nose to replace it.

I'm guessing from the lack of response, there are no Perthladites with any knowledge of pools - but I'd guess there are plenty to choose from. Check the google reviews and pick one with a score over 4.

Pumps are easy to replace yourself and lots of choice , Ebay is a good place to start. Buy Onga or Poolrite if you can afford it.

Make sure it has a low energy setting.
A few years they cost over 1000 and had variable settings and adjustment. You can now buy a Davey pump with 3 speeds the lowest is called Eco which should be used overnight in your cycle. This will save significant dollars...150w over 700w in electricity needs..Mine cost about 600 bucks on EBay from an AU seller.

Thanks. I was after a recommendation for a Pool guy.

After some research I ended up with a Davey PMECO 3 - $690.00 Very pleased with it. Got a good number for a Pool guy if anyone wants it (except the useless Spouse)

Peace
