This is a really serious request, and if anyone can help us out we will be eternally grateful.

Part of the music my dad has requested for his funeral service is the Guernsey National Anthem, Sarnia Cherie.
We have found a couple of versions to download, but what we are really after is a copy of the music so that it can be played on either the church organ or a piano. If someone has a copy, and can email it or fax it, or get it to Bristol by any other means within the next couple of days it would mean a lot. I've searched the net and found a few downloads but as yet haven't found the actual music written down anywhere.

Can anyone out there help us????

Sorry Polly, i've had a really good seach on the internet and can't find anything at all. I'v found a lot of music shops and even a sight that gives the words but no sheet music for it.

I am very sorry to learn of your sad news.

Guernsey is in the Diocese of Winchester. Here is the Diocesan home page.

Via the Contact List you can ring up or e-mail the Dean of Guernsey.

My guess would be that the Deanery can probably fax you a copy of the music, arranged for the organ, if you are unable to source it by other means quickly enough.

Thanks for all your help people; we have tracked down someone who can transcribe the music from a web download, so we'll go with that - he will then play it on the organ. Amazing what church contacts can do
