No, I always said goose pimples, but after years of teaching little kiddies, who used goose bumps so often, I now use one or the other without thinking which one to use.

I would use goose bumps, however I have heard a third option, some people use goose 'flesh'.

Pimples is an unpleasant word but in my opinion is the correct one in this case.
Goose flesh is I suppose quite apt though as it is a creepy phrase to describe a rather creepy sensation.
