Freezing on the Gold Coast
Does it get any colder here on the Gold Coast ?
Only been here a few weeks but it's darn cold in the morning. Maybe I just need to adjust some more.... or invest in a heater !
Please tell me it doesn't get any colder

You can't have everything - the clear blue skies tend to mean chilly nights and mornings!!!
Unless it is windy, it is warmer on the coast, I find. Up in the hills, very parky!
I wouldn't make a rash decision and go to Cairns - you have to look at the weather as whole year thing! And in Cairns, you don't have beaches like the Gold Coast and you can't swim in the sea from November to May because of the Jelly fish, and you have to becareful near creeks 'cos of the crocs - but apart from that Cairns and surrounds are lovely!!!
This year is shaping up to be a bit cooler, but the first year we were here, it was so lovely that we were in shorts and t's most of the time and I couldn't understand why people wore jeans and jackets!!!
Enjoy the lack of humidity, and buy a jacket!
Have fun on the Coast.

WHAT do you mean freezing! back here in ole blighty it is supposed to be the height of summer!
It really is bloody freezing, gale force winds, thunder storms, pouring down with orrible wet stuff, and just absolutley bloody miserable, and I got cabin fever cos I havn't been out for days except to leg it to the car in between the down pours
I even put my central heating on the other night for an hour!!! In July!!!

I agree it is all relative! The "freezing" bit is only at night - we cannot complain with days up in the 20 - 25 centigrade eh!
