First elephant seal
It made a change from Dolphins
. Lovely moment as badge would say
More than that really, probably one of the most incredible, humbling moments of life so far..
Elephant seals they grow up to 5000lb, many must have been that size, HUGE.
Hundreds of them up on the beach, pairing up, birthing and breeding again before setting off, Some small cove of beach on highway 1 California. All wild and natural, not some fee paying event.
We were standing about 5 metres away from them.
Travel is a wonderful thing.

Regularly sighted at Mooloolaba Beach, not quite the full 50000lb variety but close..................................

We are currently enjoying the excellent ales & fine cuisine at the Royal Mail Hotel in Tewantin. Booked in for the night as well.

You wanna hope there's no karaoke on mate otherwise ear plugs could well be order of the day and not fillet steak from past experience
