Egyptian woman complaining about her visa
Egyptian migrant forced to move across Australia for work | Daily Mail Online
Yes it's the DM but honestly what's the matter with people? She does little planning, gets a very restrictive visa on her brother's say so, moves to the Sunshine Coast and they struggle for five months to get work. She can't so she blames it on racism.
Her husband is in a 'very selective IT field' but can't get work for the government because of the visa? No shit sherlock, this again should not have been news.
Five months in this situation sounds pretty normal to me.
Good luck to her in bum**** nowhere WA.

Collie is hardly remote - 50 km from Bunbury. But it is a dying mill/mining town that has been rocked by job losses. Lots of competition for retail and low-wage positions. Not a growth centre.
Government did not "tell her" to go to the Sunshine Coast. Perhaps she would have found better fortunes in another Queensland town.
Of course it's racism; that absolves her of any responsibility.

Of course, "no-one wants to hire a foreigner...." none of us have managed to get jobs here, have we?

I was a bit confused by her comment about never having visited Noosa because she's scared to get out there. Does she honestly think she's the only foreigner to visit Noosa?

But so easy to play the racist card when it doesn't work out - and there are plenty of people willing to listen to this viewpoint and make it their standpoint
