Plenty, plenty more to come I'm afraid - leadership contests for both main parties, general election, possible referendums in Scotland and Northern Ireland, outside chance of a 2nd referendum on Europe .............

There will not be a general election, there will not be referendums on Ireland or Scotland and there will not be a second EU referendum. We have two leadership contests to look forward to.

I'm not endearing myself to my family back in Australia, every time they want to talk about the Federal election this Saturday I say 'pffft'

Yes BS, the leadership contests will be very interesting (to say the least). Andy Burnham is keeping very schtum and has remained loyal to Corbyn so far - I only mention him because he has an enormous amount of support in this part of the UK.

So the referendum also approved not having a general election every 5 years or sooner? 7th May 2020 which has been pencilled in as latest date has been cancelled.

So you agree you should have said you don't think there will be an EARLY election?
As it requires a 2/3 majority of MP's it's unlikely if Boris is in place that such a majority will vote for an early election as they'll want to keep their jobs until 2020.
It's a bit of a sad day though when people returned a Tory party led by David Cameron, a remainer, and end up a year later with Boris Johnson who is a leaver (but he changed from a remainer as part of his strategy to get where he always wanted to be - PM). Boris and Donald - scary, scary propect!

100% the right decision. The crisis in Europe is a clear sign that it was fragile and broken.
I hope we drag out the Art. 50 for as long as possible.

And hopefully they still have Corbyn as leader so that hateful socialism can be dead and buried once and for all!
