Re: The Cricket Thread
2-0.
Yes. I was yelling at the TV last night. 2 wasted reviews, generally rubbish bowling.
But then I said to myself. 1-1 would make things interesting.
In hindsight 1-1 would have been better.
Right now a green wicket for Perth is what the Ashes needs.

Which are the greatest comebacks in Test history? | The Cricket Monthly | ESPN Cricinfo
This is a very interesting review, which should please all keen cricket-followers. The only match that I actually saw live (on TV) of those chosen is the 1981 defeat of Australia by England at Headingly, where Bob Willis's fourth-innings bowling was the best I've ever seen.

Re: The Cricket Thread
I'm no fan of England and they deserve to lose this test, but if I was Joe Root, I'd be pissed off that rain has been allowed to get onto the pitch and probably change its condition. It's the 21st century FFS, surely this can be avoided?

Re: The Cricket Thread
England have been massively underwhelming on this tour and they totally deserve to be 3-0 down. They have got themselves into good positions and then blown them. They have made Australia look better than they actually are - especially given that Smith's captaincy hasn't been that flash
Some of England's players don't deserve their places:
Cook is now a passenger and is contributing nothing to the team
Ali has been a massive disappointment. Looks like he's a one trick pony and is a shadow of what Swann was
Broad has no penetration as a bowler and his batting is Keystone Cops hilarious
England should be better than this - 5-zip to Australia is on the cards
