They can do it, they have just lost belief in themselves .

As for England in India, well it's just another flat batting track. Pointless really. They should be 7 day tests over there, to get a result.

Indeed so, how many times can England lose in that time on the same track?

Tough though, cricket really is a bonkers game when it comes to the different conditions it's played in. It's almost weird it's classified as a single sport.

I am ashamed to say this was the first I'd heard of today's play. I'm not a fair weather fan by any means but I did have to rearrange the kitchen and there have to be priorities.

Where was Brisbane on Sunday? Less than 4000 on a non work day. Surely there was nothing better to do

I wouldn't be too hard on England. India prepares these flat-track wickets or raging turners to suit their batsmen and spinners. All good for India at home but when they tour they are, generally, hopeless. India really only win series away against the minnows

England were never going to win this tour (5 tests in India is hard going) but I thought that they put on some good performances

Yep, and the (sub continent) batsmen and bowlers get their stats up unrealistically high and are said to be good cricketers.

They are only good if they can maintain those averages away from home on all surfaces.

Pens down, looks too good to pass up, I'm off to the cricket.

Looks like standing room only in the members.

SA just annihilated SL 3-zip including an innings win in the 3rd test

SL were never on top in the entire series - our bowlers were awesome

What was Australia's result in their last SL series? SA won there BTW

Looking forward to Australia in India

Had you beaten SL in SL it might be something to crow about. Beating them in SA should be a given.

Yes India can't wait. Mitchell Marsh gets another undeserved selection then gets a duck. Unreal.

I've just been following on Cricinfo the ODI in New Zealand. This young Stoinis hit one of the best innings I've ever even heard of. Sixes and fours became routine. The last wicket partnership of 54 runs in 24 balls was pretty amazing. Hazlewood, the #11, made 0 of those runs, and actually faced 0 balls! Wow!

Again Cricinfo Aust v NZ - and again a very close game. Williamson doesn't seem to be arranging his bowling options at all skillfully. Oh, Boult has just got Cummins, but as I write, there are 32 runs to get at a run a ball. I wish I were there!
