Re: The Cricket Thread
Are you being deliberately stupid? I said and I repeated that I watched test and shield games at a number of grounds. I even highlighted shield but you in your wisdom read it that I saw both types of games at all the grounds. For the record I saw shield games at Bellerive and played tennis nearby on the fabulous grass courts. Reply to some of the other posts eh?

Did day 1, spectacularly bored, going tomorrow, will probably see a result at this rate. I'll be rocking the bestest Hawaiian shirt the planet has ever seen. Pommy skin prevents overt poolside action tho.

Yeah, so so close from Pakistan chasing a mammoth 4th innings total, great mid & lower order performance - what a contrast to losing 9 wickets in the last session of their second test defeat in NZ. Still, that's 4 defeats on the bounce for Pakistan having briefly topped the test rankings a few months ago.
That follows on from Australia 5 defeats in a row (away in SL, then first two tests against South Africa). Which leaves India well on top of the rankings, with them beating England ever so easily at the moment, 3-0 could become 4-0 as England fail to bowl the Indians out for under 600 again in the final test of the 5 match series.

It must be hard work being a Pak fan - a team capable of so much, who on their day can beat anybody but on the other hand often fail miserably, with nobody else to blame but themselves
A great game
A great game

Yeah, this is painful, India knock 750+ for 7 declared and England hopeless, 103-0 then 4 wickets for 26 runs, and later 192-4 suddenly becomes 200-8, and now 15 overs to survive, but almost inevitable defeat. Perhaps a couple of good wickets, but mostly cowardly performances.
