Anyone know of any deals around Xmas time to UK. ?? Yeah alright thats a long shot.

We (me and kids ) booked ages ago with singapore air, now partner has decided he cant stand Australian Xmas with his family wants to come to UK with us, hes availabe to fly out Christmas week

Malaysian Airlines ex BNE on Fri 18th Dec (late flight) is about $2400 return. Not cheap, but also pretty good for what is probably one of the busiest days of the year - certainly a lot cheaper than the fares that were available last Xmas.

I got a cheap flight ($1450) with JAL I looked recently for a friend and could not find any more through the internet. However Best Flights email flyer today says they are still available but must be booked by 30 September. Might be worth ringing to find out if any are still available.

A few cheap fares are advertised, when you check of course no seats available Looking now at the 2400 - 2800+ range.

Flights from OZ to UK are usually much more expensive than the same airline ex UK

However I just booked with qantas FF points. A whole bunch of seats came up this morning, hasnt been anything at all last few days. Only downside is on the way over its via bangkok, hope that airport has improved since my trip there 20 years ago

Well it's a totally different airport to 20 years ago...it's OK, but definitely not as nice to transit as SIN.
