Bye bye Liberal Government..... will you ever learn.

A bit off topic but does anyone know what the typical approach to changes to superannuation is for companies? Do they usually absorb the cost or is your base salary adjusted so that the change is absorbed by you and not them? When the last change to Super happened, the company paid it. I've had two roles since then, one where the company put the cost onto me and another where they bump my salary package to include the increase.
As the silly Abbot government handled that all wrong, I guess this could be on topic.

We all forgo income at the expense of superannuation
If you are earning $100k plus super, in reality you are earning $109.5k with $9.5k of that put into super on your behalf

Yes I know that but my question was on whether a company is likely to increase that remuneration to include a super increase or will it come off the base salary. I know what my situation is but was surprised that it came down to what the company prefers and not explicitly with them to pay out more when the minimum super contribution gets increased. If it was to increase up to 12% over the next 5 years, that could be a significant amount of money you may or may not be losing out on.

See my earlier post.
Another thing worth knowing is that providing your mandatory contributions are met, it doesn't matter who pays them. If you are salary sacrificing money from your salary into your Super, then if the minimum is met by that salary sacrifice, then the company is fully entitled to reduce their component. Make sure you get it in writing that any agreements to salary sacrifice are on top of the employers contribution rather than instead of.
This happened to a friend of mine at a company we used to work for together - he increased his salary sacrifice component and they decreased theirs. He didn't discover this until he was made redundant some years later.

Probably right with the Ferraris and Lambo's .... bloody weird seeing those in Cole's carpark in Coburg or outside a 3 bed Weatherboard. The giveaway with some flash stuff, is when they pull up outside a commission house.
Mafiosa cant help but be flash I spose.

Or educated to a level, that fully enables them to tale on board, the longer term consequences of growing inequality and the desirability of present economic policy over recent decades.
It is not necessary class war or hatred against the poor and powerless. It is seeking just outcomes in a country that can amply provide a decent standard of living for all living here.
A rather quaint old fashioned term champagne socialist. Very 80's.You really should move along in updating your termology.

Always dangerous to do a 'blokes like me' ad when you have marketing & actor types involved - they tend to make a pigs ear of it. In this case from a H&S perspective:
and it's OK, they found his dog

- Saw bench isn't inside the worksite
- Ceramic mug isn't going to survive on a real worksite, even if it is shiny and new
- Gold bracelet and circular saw is an invitation to lose the hand.
and it's OK, they found his dog
