Re: Boganish
Jesus : I see BE hasn't changed one iota. You make an effort to make a considered response and even the mods don't like it. Disappointed.... :-(
You can't even consider aesthetics. We could consider the aesthetics of pretty much anything anywhere in the world...it's not just Aus but we're talking about Aus..
But of course we all have different tastes..
I still am not sure whether GarryP is complaining or not.

Kind of counts in most of Melbourne with all that AFL stuff.

Complaining? No.
Seeking to understand. Particularly with things like sitting in the garage and the other behaviours the exemplify 'the bogan' - what are they and why are they?
The flip side is it is these behaviours that others tend to try and keep as far away from as possible, so they don't get confused as bogans, which is also interesting in it's own right.

Excellent, I always knew I could be a bogan if I tried hard enough....my Welsh Dragon flag hangs proudly in my spare room

Re: Boganish
The Union Jack only flies when she's not at home. When she is she flies her flag - the Royal Standard
Edit - at least that's what happens at Windsor. Not 100% on other residences.
