You can't even consider aesthetics. We could consider the aesthetics of pretty much anything anywhere in the world...it's not just Aus but we're talking about Aus..

But of course we all have different tastes..

I still am not sure whether GarryP is complaining or not.
The aesthetics of having your national or football team flag somewhere on your house or somewhere on your car is definately bogan.

Kind of counts in most of Melbourne with all that AFL stuff.

Complaining? No.

Seeking to understand. Particularly with things like sitting in the garage and the other behaviours the exemplify 'the bogan' - what are they and why are they?

The flip side is it is these behaviours that others tend to try and keep as far away from as possible, so they don't get confused as bogans, which is also interesting in it's own right.

Careful someone will be along to complain you're out of order next - discussing flags etc

Scouse bought his signed and framed football/soccer/round ball game shirts when we moved here. He's pondered a few times where to hang them, but doesn't like my suggestion of the loo Well they're red, so they don't go with my décor!

That probably means that one of us is a bogan, I'll die never knowing

She loves a good race. Reminds me of the old Ben Elton joke : the Queen is very middle class. Not at the top of the perceived social pyramid at all.

It does come out of hiding on special occasions - on St David's Day it hangs over my desk at work!

Good spot. Now does a flag consisting of a union of countries count?

The Union Jack only flies when she's not at home. When she is she flies her flag - the Royal Standard

Edit - at least that's what happens at Windsor. Not 100% on other residences.

No one is 'definately' biting at your bogan Melbourne jibes.

Get yourself a team, millions can't be wrong.

Millions of bogans .... ouch. In Melbourne, do you have a line you can just throw them over? Like Sydney does?
