That is just utter rubbish, take Point Cook for example - it's packed full of Indian, Chinese, British and NZ immigrants, many professional and mostly with young kids
It's not new estates, it's cheap areas that you'll find them - Frankston, Cranbourne, Sunshine etc - and then they migrate to St Kilda and South Yarra at weekends and evenings.

Absolutely but cookie cutter housing :-)

To a degree, nowhere near as uniform as most British estates though - I mean we have people on here complaining that Australian houses look untidy because they are all different.

Written in invisible ink. I don't see any difference between and English estate and an Australian one tbh. Some houses look alike, some don't. Can't remember any conversation about them looking untidy.
I'm going to shuffle back to my parallel universe. Life is much less confusing there.

I'm still no clearer what a Bogan is, looks like or what it lives in.

I've got an Aussie mate at work who refers to herself as the 'Bogan from Logan', she seems quite ordinary to me. Lives in a big Queenslander on acreage, has a large and very friendly pleasant family, all in all has a very normal sort of life.

Tarneit seems to have issues... as does Craige(crazy)burn to a lesser extent.

Re: Boganish
Meaningless exercise in many ways (just like trying to describe bogan clothes, suburbs, cars etc) but just over a year ago the Age produced a list of Melbourne's 321 suburbs and tried to rank them (world's most liveable city and all that) in terms of liveability. Here's the list in alphabetical order:
https://www.domain.com.au/news/melbo...151106-gkq447/
And a profile of suburb 321, Skye, (show the photo at the top to most people and they'd say, gee that looks reasonable)!
Welcome to Skye, the most unliveable suburb in Melbourne (according to our study)
Perhaps #1 is the 'least bogan' and #321 is the 'most bogan' judging by the above discussion on what this term means in terms of suburbs?

Kings Cross is closed but it was only bogans tourists from Brisbane that ended up in strip joints there.
