what is wrong with greens is that you need half a jar to make a decent amount of gravy and i seem to remember that it cost me about $5 for a small jar - dont miss my gravy that much

Re: Bisto Gravy Granules
the instant gravy here is powdery and not nice and it takes a tin for one meal. i have to admit that i don't make gravy much and i haven't had bisto granules any more. i make it from scratch when i do. i also hate steak and kidney anything. kidneys "yuk"

I agree about the kidneys. They're gross As for gravy, we haven't had any decent gravy since we got here. The gravy powder here is rubbish I did our first roast in Oz yesterday, 'cause I've got my pots and pans and stuff now, and it just wasn't right without decent gravy

We were lucky, Greens was the first one we tried, my heart goes out to those who have had less than pleasant gravy experiences since landing. Stay strong, we're here for you

Re: Bisto Gravy Granules
People still eat Fray Bentos pies?
I had my first trip to a Woolies supermarket the other day; I was gobsmacked by the variety of products (you try living in Asia for a while) but I wouldn't put a lot of it in my mouth. I thought I'd fallen asleep and woken up in the 60s.
(I also noticed we have a British Shop about 5 minutes walk away, but I doubt I'll be using it.)
