Benefits Street on 4oD
Yes JAWP, I'm sure that there are streets like this in Australia and this is train wreck TV but this is pretty bad and an indicator of a failed welfare state
These people are in a mess and I want to dislike them but they are a product of decades of government f**k ups and apathy and this has allowed them to get like they are

Exactly. Even now in 21st century 'austerity' Britain, few of these people are working. That's failing government policy, on top of decades of failed policy

The US has a very limited welfare system but they have far worse problems than Blighty regarding an underclass.

That is so bloody true! I love my country. I am passionately patriotic. And it pains me to see the way it is today. The low-life culture has drained every last drip of greatness from it and it won't ever go back to how it once was, ever. It's finished!

Oh OK, it just doesnt sound like the England I am living in thats all. I dont doubt there are areas like it in the country but it really doesnt describe the majority of it. Where are you hoping to go that ont have these issues? Serious question.
