Have the police been heavy handed or not?
I am in 2 minds about this
a they took him from hospital without signing all the forms etc and stole a feeding machine.
b they have a right to choose the treatment their son has they are his parents and will choose what is best for him.
which camp do you think is right?

As they took him in order to seek treatment, rather than in order to deny him treatment, I am with them.

Re: Aysha
If the child is dying anyway, then let the parents do what they want. I can't imagine the stress and upset the police and officials have caused Aysha will have helped the situation.
If the parents were refusing successful lifesaving treatment then that's an entirely different matter.

From the little I know it is scandalous, parents take child to treatment the NHS will not provide. Where is the problem in this?

UK CPS are now looking at the case again to decide whether the warrant was really justified given the public outcry. The NHS are also looking at whether he should get the proton beam treatment they want, there are a number of hospitals in the EU, though not the UK, that offer the treatment, and the UK NHS has sent a goodly number of patients for the treatment in the past.
Hampshire police chief has sent a letter to the CPS, Governmant, Portsmouth council and others wanting the parents released, and the family reunited.
Nick Clegg has also joined in the release request.

Leave this family alone
It would be great if the cops showed as much enthusiasm in dealing with real crime and tackling the fallout from the failure of multicultuism ie Rotherham

The parents have been freed, and all charges dropped. Decuisions about the treatment still being considered, although a senior brain surgeon, from the UK, is to travel to meet them in Spain
