Default An-225 landing in Perth on May 15th

World's largest plane, Antonov An-225 Mriya, set to land in Perth in May

Big deal for plane geeks like me

Worth a look

Seen it (and been in it) before, tis a big bugger.

Hangs in the air the same way bricks don't.

Lots and lots of wheels.

Might be worth it. Ed Force One is taking off not long after.

Ed Force One and the boys delivered a spectacular gig on Friday night in Sydney. It's hard to believe that Dickinson is 67...

That would have been awesome. I got a last minute invite unfortunately I was on child duties.

I saw an interview with Dicko, sitting in his pilots seat, in pilot outfit. He actually looks like an airline pilot.

Rock on.

Wow, now that was impressive

Fortunately the wind changed direction this morning and it came in from the north. We watched it from a park next to the army base in South Guildford - about a km from the runway threshold. It came in right over us

My son took some great video which I will post when its edited

I reckon the take-off on Tuesday will be pretty cool too

What time is it taking off? I might be convinced to alter my work hours Tuesday to go see it.

I believe it's about 7:30am on Tuesday

Hopefully it's to the south as that would be easier for me to see before work

Kind of difficult to really get the feel for this unless you are underneath it at the end of the runway.

Thanks. Home to the airport at that time of day shouldn't be too bad.
