Re: $950 payouts
Our economy is going down because the Chinese have reduced the amount of resources that they are buying from us. To encourage them to buy more from us we have to buy more from them. We have to think global nowadays. We must remember though if the Yanks offer us any financial deals in future we only pay for them in oil, snake oil that is.

Re: $950 payouts
They have plenty of time to sort it out, the ATO payments are not scheduled until April anyway, so it is another 2 months to go before they pay that out.
Centrelink are scheduled for 11th to 20th March, so another month to go for that, and they set it up in 2-3 days after it was announced, so it won't take them long to change the figures from $950 to whatever is decided.
Regarding the other infrastucture payments, some of it isn't scheduled until 2010 anyway.
And there is nothing to stop the government doing other things in the normal course of business, to finance other infrastucture from the normal budget figures anyway. IF they really wanted to.
But at the moment they are getting political points by blaming someone else for the delay, and so will milk that for as long as they can.

Yeah you'll get it, just let the green party and that xylophone bloke have their moment in the spotlight, and then they'll agree.
I won't get it of course. I'm a husband and Father of two girls, but Krudd always finds a way to stop me or my kids getting any handouts. No no no, much better to give it all to the work dodging bludgers who have more kids than braincells.*
Rant over :curse:
JTL
Not really, I'm off to rant at the dog
* Present company excepted

All they seem to do is talk about the problem.................not tackle it!
