Former Female David Jones Employee is claiming $37m becasue her boss touched he bra strap and made some unwelcome comments. Thats insane workers who lose their arms and legs or go blind in workplace accidents get a tiny fraction of that. If she worked as a waitress in some fast food joint and the boss touched her up she would probably get nothing , but when its some middle class woman working in a posh department store she gets millions. No wonder 16 other women are now making claims against him to cash in, l bet if he said to one of them " you look nice today" they would bring a sexual harrassment law suit against him and the store.

Yes it sounds more like something that happens in the US, l guess as the store is worth millions they though they would go for it.

It's her law firm that is driving this. Initially she was asking for around $800K and then changed lawyers.

I hope she gets nothing.

Yes l mean none of them complain to the police the just want the cash so they take civil action in the courts.

I don't agree with the amount of money that she's claiming, that's just crazy but you don't know how the unwelcome comments can affect people.

I suffered sexual harrassment in the workplace in the UK and although my boss never touched me, not even my bra strap! The comments were awful, I dreaded going to work, lost a lot of confidence and it would really upset me if someone said well he didn't actually "do" anything he only said stuff, you know?

The claim should be brought down to a more respectable figure and if some nutty judge gives it to her she should give it to charity and then some good will come out of it all.
