Default $30,000 well spent?

....finance bores me, budgets in Aus rarely do anything for people without kids so I just ignore most of the stuff about the Budget. But having had a brief look at today's Courier Mail, it appears that this years Budget includes ....

"$30,000 towards a statue of Slim Dusty" - WTF???
