Hi peeps... after speaking to people who wanted to travel to Barbados alone or looking for accomodation as visitors I recently came across this novel website that along with the standard appartment rentals also shows options for renting a room or appartment with locals living on site or nearby and they offer a lot more to a lone traveller than just here are the keys and goodbye..one even offers holistic services such as Yoga and Pilates..another offers accomodation with a car...I have seen rooms offered from as litte as £15 or £28 per night as an option to stay in a local Chattel house with owners living in a typical Bajan location obviously they also advertise appartments up to £2000 a night as well for luxury places...locations are spread all over the island from St Lucy down to Christchurch...so there seems to be something for everyone.......perfect alternative for those wanting to go to Barbados but not be "alone" or needing guidance and advice as a visitor so thought I would pass on the link as this option benefits both locals earning a lilttle more by renting out their home to visitors and those wanting to visit...I have no connections to the website or any people posting on the site but do feel this could help those new to the island
