Tolerance and understanding

Please remember that this site was created as a support system for those of us living abroad and and those yet to make the move. From there it has naturally branched out into a section about moving back to the UK.

Just as there are numerous reasons for leaving the UK, so there are as many for returning. It may even be harder for some people to cope with going back than to deal with leaving in the first place.

It seems that every so often this part of BE flares up into arguments, unsavoury comments, hurtful personal remarks and it could even be said to be verging on bullying in places. This is not pleasant, not necessary, and is totally unhelpful to people, whatever their situation.

If you don't like someone please do not get into arguments with them on the forum, it's not fair to the other members of this site who don't want to become involved.

This forum has members from all parts of the world; please remember that - it is nit a place for "Australia is better than the UK" discussions.

A poster does not have to be returning to the UK in order to post in this section of BE, but we do expect a certain level of understanding and tolerance of why others ARE going back. If you cannot identify with this sentiment we suggest that you stay away from the UK forum.

If you are unsure of what is or is not allowed please refer to the site rules.

And remember, just as we have all made the life changing decision to move to a different country so many of us have had to take the decision to come back. Let's start supporting each other instead of criticizing each other.

Thanks for reading.
