If your answer is yes, read on.

Come and have a drink with us

We're a group of expats who meet up fairly regularly, usually on a Thursday night for a drink after work. We normally drink in the CBD, but also frequent the inner west, but only because that's where a lot of us happen to live.

About us

Age-wise, we're all 20-30 somethings but don't let that put you off. It doesn't matter how old you are, you just have to be old enough to order a schooner! We're a mix of singles and couples from all parts of the UK (there are even some rogue Aussies in the group). Some of us have been in Sydney for several years and others just a few months. Swerv-o is the trusty social coordinator, but only in so far as he suggests places for us to meet in. Katherinious is just one of the regulars.

Where and when

We're meeting up next Thursday, 17th May, from 6:30pm in the Redoak Bar, 201 Clarence Street , Sydney. Drop either Swerv-o or Katherinious a PM if you're thinking about coming.

Don't be shy, come out for a drink. Hope to see you there.

Hi Guys

Not over there yet but will be REALLY interested we get there in Sept. I've added you to my buddy list and will keep checking up on any up and coming dates nearer the time. I hope you don't mind have a couple of forty somethings in the group?

Some of us are closer to 40 than others.

Be great to meet new people!

I don't care about age. It's attitude that's important.

So you coming E? You could stay in Sydney overnight... ? Head back in the morning?
Would be lovely to meet you.
Well if I got the train then I would be able to drink.... but knowing me I'd get on the train to go home and end up in Cairns or something! It could be a proper adventure!
I'll do some investigating in to the options....

Just to say hi! Dave and I would love to come along but we have a six week old baby, so probably won't make it this time - need to wait until bubs is introduced to bottle-feeds so we can leave him with the grandparents for the evening!

Ok, for those who know where Clarence Street is - what area is it?
(What do I need to google alongside B&B to find a cheap place to sleep off the wine!)

It's right in the middle of the city - I think only a couple of minutes from the Queen Victoria Building...

If that helps...

Hey Swerv-o, what are you wearing today? How are the newbies going to identify you? Is the union jack shirt clean and ironed or will you be bowling us over with a different number from your collection?

Th union jack shirt is currently languishing in the bottom of the washing bag, so tonight Matthew, I will be wearing a brown 70s patterned short sleeved shirt, with a penguin camoflaged onto the pocket...
