Finally got ourselves sorted out and YES WE CAN make it!!
Should be able to find our way ok - just been thinking about it and it is 15 years since i lived in sunderland! (i didn't realise i was getting that old!!) If we are a bit late you know we have got lost and will get there eventually!!

Good turnout, just a shame we got chucked out of the Pub!

Weatherspoons have this great rule that if you have kids, and want to sit in the 'Family' area, you have to buy a meal or you can't stay there.
Only thing is, they don't tell you this rule, on the 'list of rules' board.

So we had to leave after about 3/4 hour, after we'd slowly drank our

Luckily we didn't live far away, and we invited them all to our house, where we spent a couple of hours there...

I will be e-mailing Weatherspoons head office to put an official complaint in, as there is nowhere in the pub, that mentions this stupid rule

Even with the pub fiasco it was still great to meet up and chat! Our only complaint was that everyone else is planning the move in the next few months - while we are still going to be stuck here for ages!!!

Let us know when the next get together is going to happen (and we can pick a different venue!)

Firstly thanks for organizing the meet. Its great to put a face to a name and know who you are talking to. It was great to talk to other people about their situations as well, especially as we can't mention it to anyone until we get a positive back from TRA (don't want to upset any one for no reason) Thanks again for your hospitality and look forward to the next one.

Thanks for arranging the meet, it was nice to see you all. Must do it again SOON.

We've had good news, our case officer has requested our medicals (appointment booked next week) and has suggested once the medicals are cleared in Oz he will approve our application - so we may have the final answer in 5 / 6 weeks.

Now that will be a reason to meet and celebrate.
