Moving to Thornlands.....would love to meet some new people
 

Hi.......We are moving down to Thornlands in the next month from Peregian Springs on the Sunshine Coast. Gutted to be leaving this area but there is simply no work up here on the coast and after two years of trying to get work I have finally given up and got a job in Brisbane.

We have a 13 year old son.

We have made lots of friends up here on the coast and had a great social life but now we are starting again. Would love to meet up and get to know some new people/friends. I am 45 years old (Sharon) and my hubby is 52 (Bill).

I hadn't realised that Thornlands is fairly close to us - Sal and I live in Carindale.

There's a couple of other BE'ers living in Birkdale and there's an awesome curry house and fish and chip shop there which are well worth visiting. Perhaps we'll organise something once you've settled in.

We , being Linda and myself (both 50's) live on the Cleveland /Thornlands border and are usually found socialising in the local pubs or not so local ones in the city if that appeals to yous :sneaky::o Often over at the curry house in Birkdale with friends and also do the odd comedy club evening at the Alex Hills Tavern and drinks in the back yard, more than welcome to join in when the dust settles.:thumbsup:

As SoCalDon (Dave) mentioned Pete and I (Heather) live in Birkdale and also know Bobby and Linda who has posted above too, Curry place and awesome fish and chips place in Birkdale are just up the road and not far from Thornlands. Happy to meet up.
