Re: Melbourne, Bentleigh & surrounding.
Hi there,
I am about to move to Melbourne, I've been offered a job and should be there by end July/early August.
I'm 32, and coming alone initially while we wait for my partner to finish some exams in the UK. I'm keen to hear advice on suburbs that may suit me, as I plan on making every effort to settle in quickly.
I will be working in CBD, top of Elizbeth Street, so needs to be a reasonable commute (happy to get train/tram). I am keen to be walking distance to cafes and beach as may not get a car to start with. I'm quite sporty so plan to get myself involvd in a running or amateur triathlon club.
Thank you in advance, any advice gratefully received.

Hey Moonshine 101,
I am a similar age to you and have been in Melbourne for 4 years now working in a similar area.
I have found West is my preference to live - we are looking to buy a place in Seddon / Footscray / Yarraville which we love. ITs a good balance of cost and lots of things to do. We spent time living in the inner East (Richmond) and since moving west we much prefer it!
Lots of things nearby, you can cycle to work (v. important to me) or you can get a train to work.
Just my two cents - your milage may vary
