Tax File Number
Hi,
My husband and I went to Australia back in 2008 on a Working Holiday Visa, we both got TFN's when we arrived, he worked I didn't.
Anyway, we now have our PR visa and are going in August. My question is, do we apply for a new TFN based on our new visa or do I need to contact ATO to find out what it is as we have no idea :s I have read on the website that the TFN is for life?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

It is for life, like a NI number is.
