He is currently working at RJs and has done for about 5 years now, previously worked at Coopers. Seems strange for me too talking to someone about 'home'

Where are you heading in Australia?

Ok, it's safe to say I am Wanted Down Undered out!!! I have just watched 5 episodes one after the other on BBC i - they were good and great to see Cairns again and bring back memories but I have to say, most of them seemed to be hung up on the family factor and although I will miss my family greatly - this is something I NEED to do for MYSELF.

Well thought out Natalie. Stick to your guns

You have to do what's best for YOU in YOUR situation, it may not be perfect, but you have to satisfy your own situation's needs.

Have to say, 5 consecutive WDU's is a but much........nearly 5 hours !!

I've got the last two taped.......looking forward to watching them a lot.

I thing you have to try and watch them without letting the famalies thoughts get into your head if you can ??

I will be home for a month - Mid July to Mid August if anyone fancies a coffee then! Parents now in Gt Shelford but I was born in Balsham and brought up in Barton. Will have my Aussie husband in tow but can drop him off in Heffers if need be - that'll take him the best part of a morning!

Hi all,

Just signed up to the site as there's loads of great info here.

I'm in north herts and it would be great to meet up and meet people in the same situation as myself.

I'm hoping to start applying for a visa soon (skilled independent). To get the ball rolling, I'm currently in the process of getting the IELTS test booked, as the extra points are needed to get me to 120.

All the best

Hawkwind,

Good luck with the IELTS test, I sat mine in November 07 and got an overall grade of 9.0. I gave it the respect it deserves and actually studied a fair bit for it. I used the Barrons revision book which you can buy from Amazon for about £10 plus delivery. It has loads of sample test papers and a CD to practice the listening exam as well. Any questions on the test, give me a shout.

We applied for a 176 back in November (hoping to have a CO by April) and would love to meet up with you guys if it's anywhere near us - we live in Newport Pagnell and would be happy to drive for upto about an hour.

Cheers,

Colin & Toni
