Hi,
We went to Bundaberg at the weekend and really fell in love with it....can't wait to get up there now... we like the look of Elliott heads and coral cove to live. The beaches are just great!!!

Sharon do you know anything about Elliott heads school? we are thinking of sending my son Jack there.

Hi Jo,
Welcome back, Glad to hear you have fallen in love with Bundy too.
My hubby and son love going fishing at Elliot Head.
Are you going to start the process of relocating now then?
A expat couple we met while in Bundy in Feb used to live in elliot head for a while but found it a little quiet they moved into Bundy. They have a 16 year old daughter to consider too-socialising etc!

I still cant believe it

Ive phone my friend in Mandurah today at work shes so excited for us and cant wait to see us. we are going to visit her in Feb.
We phoned our friends in Bundaberg they are really excited and really cant wait to see us. They are on stand by to pick us up from airport.

Our agent has sorted the entrance date originally they wanted us to be there by 17th Dec but they have agreed to move it till the 16th january. My OH has to have a medical with immi within 28days because he has been treated for TB [20yrs ago]

So we will try and book the flights to Oz this week end aiming for the 2nd of January.
We will post passports tomorrow if we are sure strikes are well and truely called off. if not it will have to be a courier service i think.

O well best go, better have a wash and get dressed tidy house and head of to work for a late shift yukkk

Byee from a never to whinge again pom

Hi everyone,

We are also heading to Bundaberg in January 2008 just had confirmation of job offer. We are Sharon (38) Teaching Assistant, Ian (47) Maintenance Electrician and our three chidren ages 13, 11 and 9. Only recently started researching Bundaberg as originally heading for Adelaide until this job opportunity came up. So if anyone can tell us the good areas and the bad....we would really appreciate it!

Thank you to Teryna for recommending this forum!!

Hi Shari

Bundy is a really lovely place, you have made a good choice! Cant really give you much advice about good and bad areas, but we are getting a good little community gathered up, We never really expected anyone else to be heading in that direction - everyone seams to head for the big cities!

How far on in the visa process are you. Our Visa application was lodged on 17th August, so we have a bit of a wait ahead. We were originally hoping to be in Bundy for the new year, but our house isnt sold either

Good to hear more people are heading to Bundy - its a great place and you will love it.
