About the business and the role:
We co-represent hotels/restaurants all around Australia looking to sponsor overseas workers. Right now we have visa sponsors in Proserpine, Mt Isa, Toowoomba and Sunshine Coast. Visa sponsorship is available to successful candidates. You must commit to the role for at least 2 years.
Responsibilities:
To prepare, cook and present food for consumption on and off the business premises in accordance with menus and function menus as agreed by management, chefs and customers, whilst observing all health and safety, occupational health and safety and health department regulations.
Main duties:
Account for Fresh and packaged produce received by the business
Prepare ingredients ready for cooking in the menus
Present all food in accordance with restaurantstandards clean and sanitise cooking equipment and surfaces in accordance with health and safety regulations
Train other staff
Keep and order food (where required)
Communicate with the Head chef, managers and supervisors regarding issues relating to preparation and service in the restaurant.
Other information:
Must observe at all times all requirements of occupational health and safety and abide by the code of conduct whilst on duty on the business premises.
Qualifications:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery + 2 years' experience or
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or
3 years' work demonstratable experience
