The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity to be part of the perioperative management team at a leading Melbourne private Hospital has become available. This position would suit a highly skilled and self motivated registered perioperatve nurse, who is looking to expand his / her management skills as part of an already motivated and achieving perioperative team.

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) you will be responsible for assisting the Nurse Unit Manager in efficient and effective management, coordinating the delivery of evidence based nursing care and be responsible for providing outstanding leadership and direction to the peri operative team. As part of the Orthopaedic team, you will continue to drive exceptional customer service and to build a speciality to excellence.

An ability to liaise with all members of the healthcare team and to continue to foster open communication pathways with VMO, clinical and non-clinical staff is essential. A flexible attitude and a capacity to encourage and achieve best practice quality patient care is essential.

In this role you will:

Assist in the management of staff and patterns of care delivery
Identify, initiate and implement change to achieve exceptional standards of clinical care
Contribute to the efficient and effective running of orthopaedic clinical services
Assist the Nurse Unit Manager in achieving a range of key performance indicators and budget guidelines
Maintain a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning
