If you are granted citizenship after the 2 year period do you get to keep the british passport..does anyone know...please

Yes you keep British Citizenship and therefore you keep the right to have a UK passport. You must use your Australian passport to leave and enter Australia.

yes. you will then be a citizen of both countries so you are entitled to a passport from each one. then come and go as you please.
