My son plays soccer with John Noakes' (get down shep) grandson. I am on a committee for meningitis research with Norman Pace's wife Beverley. I am Robert Burns' great great great great great great niece. I have been on National TV talking about meningitis. My daugther used to have a pair of furry boots that were given to us by one of Rick Parfitt's wives.

The guy who directed the English Patient, Anthony something, use to bring his tortoise 'Paris' to our vet surgery.

He is such a nice down to earth guy although his well spoken accent has to be heard to be believed.

Either times are hard or this is the place to be if you're an iconic 80s Aussie.

Anybody else sat next to anyone or anything interesting lately?

Let's live it up!
I saw Victoria Wood in Woolies in the Dales once.

She ignored me, despite grinning at her like a Cheshire cat

I think she thought I was mental

I stayed in the same hotel as Robbie Coltrane in Hong Kong. I didn't get in the lift with him though as, well he is a big fella and I had 2 kids and a baby in a pushchair. I might have grounded it! He was there filming the new cracker, May 1996.

Hubby sat opposite Hattie Hayridge (Holly from Red Dwarf) on a train, he asked for her autograph and told her it was for our son!!!

When in Los Angeles I met Jennifer Lopez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They had shut the Prada Shop for her in rodeo drive Beverley hills
She had two transit van full of clothes that she had brought or more than likely been given , she was driving or should I say attempting to drive a soft top bentley (blue one that Ben affleck had given her )

She was really polite but not as lush as we all think she is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmmm

I've done loads of waitressing over the yrs. At 1 gig my role was to be no more than 3 feet from the Prime Minister's wife in case she wanted a mineral water from my tray.

Another gig involved the opening of the Tate gallery...got to have a little chat with Yoko Ono & the author Jilly whatsername. Also got to walk behind Mick Jagger while I was carrying a tray of empty glasses - including standin just behind him as he took the escalator down, thereby destroying the shot for ALL of the papparazzi who were in front of him...ie "here's Mick's face with a tray of empty glasses above his ear". Naughty ozzidoc. Loads of other famous people there too...Queen, Kylie Minogue, etc etc but I didnt talk to them.

I also worked at the Brit awards one yr. I was looking after some tables in A & B sections, ie the most VIP. Cant remember who was there - some boyband. And the pretty Black chick off cutting it was there (she previously in Holby or another soap)....she asked me where the loos were.

Hmmm what else.... I used to do gymnastics with Austria's only 2004 olympic gold medallist (she's from geelong actually)........ met Peter Gabriel as ex bloke was in business of some kind with him, some sort of distributor, so we were invited to a small party with him, his group etc and about 6 others.

I was on an LA flight last yr with Jake Gyllenhammer or whatever his name is.

And a friend who Ive lost contact with was in "flirting" with nicole kidman.

And another friend is in the same circle of friends as Justine Bateman.

And a my former beautician had liposuction on the same day that Deborah Hutton did (about 10 yrs ago) at the same clinic.

I'll stop now....6 degrees of separation and all that.....'tis a small world

Got to do the royal tournament 1995, so unfortunately loads of name dropping there but my favourite has to be chasing two kids who were trashing the fencing "pretend swords" courts. Myself and two others were asked by our Sgt to escort them back to their seats as the show was going on. So we chased them back into their Private Box calling them all sorts of names coz we had to clear up their mess!!! "Little shit" says I , and even worse profanities from my comrades brought us face to face with a rather large gentleman. We stepped back, Sgt stepped in, saluted and backtracked!!

Coz the "little shit" was the future king of England!!! Wills and Harry bless 'em.
Diana had made an unannounced visit.......

Oops

We live down the road from Jordan and Peter Andre, and always see them in the local Tesco store or they seem to attend the local Pizza Express nearly every Sunday!!

It is amazing how quickly the traffic stops when they are spotted in the town, mainly men driving with eyes bouncing out their sockets causing a big hold up!!

I got a flight one time and the woman in front of me was the female detective out of Taggart.

I never watch Taggart so I can't tell you her name, either in real life or on the telly. But it WAS her.

I used to work part time at Safeways and used to serve Ali Campbell from UB40 every Sunday.

That other bloke from UB40 as well, the guy with the dreadlocks...Astro is it?

Oh, and that big tall lanky goal keeper that used to play for Villa.....somebody James I think...he was HUGE! Very nice legs too!

At the end of the day BM said 'have a drink on me guys' and handed them a big envelope, which to their excitment, seemed to have been stuffed generously full. They politely waited to open it until he'd gone...only to find... it was full of tea bags!!!
To be fair BM apparently later sent on a proper thankyou with a cheque...
