I believe that along with proof of relationship being genuine, and statutory declarations from at least two people who know you and your partner. How much information are you expected to give in a written statement and I know this may sound like a dumb question but do they mean it has to be completed in handwriting or just in your own words and signed?

Hi Caz,
Write until your keyboard hurts. We always encourage people to write as much as
possible because that is the best way of overcoming the skepticism of any particular
migration officer. Some people treat the whole thing as a coupling exercise, others
just put the stories away to show to their grandchildren.
Cheers
