4 degrees in New Brighton. Have just come back from a Sunday roast at the pub. Walked down into a fierce wind blowing straight off the Irish sea. Scouse was all buttoned up in his leather coat, gloves, scarf etc etc, and complaining that it was bitter. I had an open light coat over jeans and tee, and was saying how much I love this weather.
I'm sure that, given our nationalities, this should have been the other way around

Alfresco, he used to hate the stinking hot days in Perth - but now, after only being here for one year, he's talking about going back, not to Perth but somewhere cooler in the south west. Breaks my heart because I love it here. We're going to wait the 4 years until I get British citizenship, and then reevaluate.

That pool at Southbank is an absolute godsend when you're staying in the City. Thank goodness it's cooled down. I was snuggled under my blankets last night with no airconditioner - it was lovely.
