Some pretty severe conditions given its not even summer yet.
At the rental in melb son said it was 30 around midnight, cold this morning with a wild storm in between. They heard a massive crash, but being students
didnt bother investigating. Went outside this morning to see a large gum tree across the neighbours roof
From photos amazing nobody was killed.Very hot in QLD, have to drive to brisvegas this evening, car will be outside all evening so I am expecting hail at least

Funny place this.
Surfers Paradise is 31C right now.
Head south 1000km into Sydney and it's 37C over there.
And it's supposedly 10C in Melbourne at present.
And last time I checked I hadn't moved back in time, were are just a few days from December, right?

Well I live in Melbourne and the thermometer in the shade on my deck says 19.2 degrees. So your supposition is wrong.
Still well under normal for this time of year though.

What was the temp like 2 hrs ago? Maybe there's a lag there as the iPhone is currently showing 14C for Melb with a high of 17 today.

accu weather app is saying melb 13 feels like 8.
Seems a little low but if its windy quite possible.
To be honest it sounds lovely. Working up in QLD and its saying 29 but feels like 33. Not even humid, just darn hot.
I would take the 13 anyday
Back in melb next week before heading off to US. Cool weather would be nice before landing in SNOW

Sunny but cool 18.9 at my house in the SE suburbs right now so clearly wherever those readings are being taken from isn't as warm.
I think October will have been warmer than November this year.

BOM has 2 locations near you:
Moorabbin Airport (1250) - 14.4C
Frankston (1250) - 13.1C
Surprising (or perhaps not!) to learn it's so much more tropical in Mordialloc!
October was pretty much record breaking this year...Nov is pretty close to normal, so yes Oct will be much warmer for sure.

According to Google weather for Mordialloc it is tipping with rain right now and is 16 degrees.
As I am sitting here looking at a blue sky with white puffy clouds I don't think I'll trust the internet's temperature readings either!!!

Oh well, at least we've finally found the source of all those claims about 'London + 10C'!
